These changes come into effect from Monday February 21st.
Masks will be mandatory at both the Shire Office and the Gascoyne Junction Community Resource Centre.

❗ IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR REGIONAL WA ❗

From 6.00am Monday, 21 February, mask wearing requirements will be expanded state-wide and applied to the Kimberley, Gascoyne, Mid West and Goldfields-Esperance regions.

Masks will now be required:
🔸 In all indoor public venues (including workplaces)
🔸 On public transport, taxis and ride share services
🔸 At residential aged or disability care facilities (both indoors and outdoors)
🔸 At hospitals
🔸 Recommended in outdoor public spaces where you cannot physically distance

The mask mandate will not apply to the home, people with disabilities, people doing vigorous indoor exercise, or for children in primary school or younger.

Proof of vaccination or medical exemption with ID is still required at venues and events state-wide.

To help keep WA safe:
🔸 Get tested if you have symptoms or have been to an exposure site
🔸 Continue to check in with ServiceWA, SafeWA or contact registers
🔸 Get vaccinated
