URGENT ROAD UPDATE TUESDAY JUNE 8
SHIRE OF UPPER GASCOYNE ROAD CLOSURES FROM 11AM
EDITED AT 11AM: Due to the onset of rain in Gascoyne Junction and surrounds the roads are closed effective immediately.
Once again we are expecting rainfall in the western district of the Gascoyne. At this stage we have light showers with heavy rain due at 5am tomorrow morning. Due to the existing damage and ground moisture it will only take a small rainfall to have roads closed for a few days.
AT 11AM the following roads will be closed until further notice.
* Ullawarra Road from Gascoyne Junction to Northern Boundary
* Carnarvon Mullewa Road from Gascoyne Junction to Eastern Shire Boundary
* Cobra Dairy Creek Road will remain closed.
PLEASE NOTE THE ONLY ACCESS TO GASCOYNE JUNCTION WILL BE VIA CARNARVON
Please obey road signs in place throughout the Shire. If it is raining or the roads are wet whether there is a sign or not. STOP. Driving on wet roads causes significant damages to roads leaving large repair bills, damaged roads until repairs can be made can void your insurance. You may be fined if you are found to be on CLOSED ROADS
